Founded in 2007 and based in central New Jersey, this certified minority- and disadvantaged-business (MBE/DBE) electrical distributor supplies contractors with bulk materials including lighting, switchgear, conduit and wire for large public infrastructure projects. Its customers are contractors working on jobs funded by regional transit, transportation, port and utility agencies that require a set share of spend to flow to certified suppliers. The business buys direct from nearly all major manufacturers, which gives it a real pricing edge over the many certified suppliers that act as paper-pushing middlemen, and it competes on fast turnaround on emailed bills of material.

The company runs lean: two full-time employees, a leased warehouse, a box truck, a van and a forklift.
